Meghan Markle sparks ‘insane’ online theories claiming she wore microphone to Queen’s memorial

WINDSOR, ENGLAND: On Saturday, September 10, outside Windsor Castle, Meghan Markle allegedly greeted the mourning public while sporting a hidden microphone, based on online theories. Meghan Markle, 41, walked outside Windsor Castle with Prince Harry, Kate Middleton, and Prince William to greet those gathered outside to pay their homage to the Queen.

Twitter fans spotted an odd square-shaped seam in the former ‘Suits’ actress’ clothing as arrived to see the honors paid to the late Queen. Many people have offered justifications for why Markle might be sporting a microphone. One person tweeted, “Is Meghan markle wearing a mic to use the queens death for her Netflix reality show?” suggesting that she might be gathering information for her Netflix docuseries.

These accusations, however, are baseless. A source close to the Duchess slammed these claims and called them damaging. ā€œThis is insane and actually damaging to her. Of course she was not wearing a mic,ā€ the source told Page Six.

Another user wrote on Twitter, “I’m finally done! Meghan wearing a mic was my last straw. No more tweets about this pair until after the mourning period. I refuse to focus on anything but Queen Elizabeth.” These rumors were immediately refuted by a source who told PageSix that the idea that Markle was greeting mourners at Windsor with a hidden microphone under her clothing is baseless.

“This is insane and actually damaging to her. Of course she was not wearing a mic,” a close source of Markle told Page Six on Tuesday, September 13. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Prince and Princess of Wales were last seen together on Commonwealth Day in March 2020, thus this outing by the estranged group of four was significant.

The walkabout generated conversation because William, 40, was accused of being “cold” to his wife, while Harry, 37, was complimented for his love and tender relationship with his wife. Markle also made headlines when she was captured on camera having an awkward exchange with royal staff while carrying bouquets of flowers.

The Duke of Sussex made a heartfelt message on Archewell website Monday, September 12, about losing his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, who passed away on Thursday, September 8 at the age of 96, two days after the outing. “Granny, while this final parting brings us great sadness, I am forever grateful for all of our first meetings,” he said.

“From my earliest childhood memories with you, to meeting you for the first time as my commander-in-chief, to the first moment you met my darling wife and hugged your beloved great-grandchildren,” he said, praising Markle and their two children, Lilibet, 1, who was named after the Queen’s childhood nickname, and Archie, 3, who is their oldest kid.

Harry continued, “I cherish these times shared with you, and the many other special moments in between. You are already sorely missed.” The website for Markle and Harry’s Archwell charity went dark shortly after the Queen passed away as a mark of respect for her. However, Markle has yet to issue a statement regarding the monarch’s death.
